Role and Responsibilities:
- Picks up and deliver goods, mail, AV equipment, documents, and other items to Oakland School departments and local school district facilities. Obtains authorized signatures for accepted items as required.
- Process incoming and outgoing US mail and UPS/Fed-X/Airborne packages.
- Receives and unload incoming supplies, equipment, Oakland Schools' furniture and other items; verify receipt of items ordered (i.e., quantity, stock number, etc.). Notifies supervisor of damaged, defective, and/or incorrect shipments.
- Locates and relocates desks, chairs, tables, bookcases, and other related office furniture and equipment.
- Performs inter-district deliveries as directed.
- Follows specified instructions, procedures, and standards for the efficient and safe operation of the truck and pickup/delivery of office equipment and furniture.
- Assumes responsibility for routine maintenance of assigned vehicle; notifies supervisor of needed mechanical repairs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
