_________________________________________________ Join SWE-Detroit on January 25th to network with representatives from various companies. See flyer below for details. WE Local Detroit is in need of Judges and a Moderator for the Collegiate Competition! The sessions are Friday morning and afternoon on Feb 17th. If you are interested in helping, please email welocalcommittee@swe.org
Judges: Judging rubrics and training will be provided before the conference by HQ and LAB. Judges are supposed to ask questions of the students during the Q&A of the snap session. The posters are made available onsite throughout the conference and judges can evaluate them at their own convenience. No interactions with the students are required for judging the posters. Moderators: Moderators are supposed to work closely with HQ starting the Thursday night before the conference. On Friday, they will help finalists with their poster setup in the early morning, and then moderate the snap session(s) in early morning and late afternoon. On Saturday by noon, they will collect the completed rubrics from the judges, tally the final scores and determine final placements for the Collegiate Competition awards, and work with HQ to present the awards at the Saturday evening award ceremony. It is a highly engaging and highly rewarding role. HQ and LAB will provide detailed training before the conference.
