What: Ever wanted to apply or nominate somebody for a SWE Award but did not know where to start? Join Silvia Karlsson and Nikita Tiwari for a quick overview of SWE's individual awards and some recommendations on how to get started.

Wow! Innovation Challenge

SWENext Recruitment Challenge

What: SWE-D is participating in the SWENext Recruitment Challenge! SWENext (https://swe.org/k-12-outreach/youth-programs/) is a FREE K-12 SWE membership that has awesome benefits for students like a year-round leadership academy, monthly newsletters, awards and scholarship programs, a free C2C SWE membership upon high school graduation, and so much more!

SWE WE21 Awards Nomination Applications Are Open

The Society of Women Engineers strives to advance and honor the contributions of women at all stages of their careers as well as recognize the successes of SWE members and individuals who enhance the engineering profession through contributions to industry, education and the community. The nomination deadline for all Individual Awards is March 31, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. CT. Awards will be presented at the WE21 Annual Conference October 21-23, 2021.

One new award is being introduced this year! The Rising Technical Contributor Award has been added for FY21. Graduate students and early professionals with 0 – 5 years of experience are eligible to apply. See the Awards Packet (link below) for more information on this new award!

SWE’s Individual Awards Program offers 22 different awards. Click here for the awards packet, which has detailed requirements and instructions on how to submit.

SWENext Club Information Session

What: D-SWE Outreach is excited to start SWENext Clubs in the Southeast Michigan area! In order for a SWENext Club to form, it needs an active SWE member to become the SWENext Club Counselor. If you are interested in learning more about SWENext Clubs and how you can become involved, join us for a 1-hour information session.
