GEE is almost here, and we are in need of volunteers for this event! If you are interested, please sign-up HERE.
Girls’ Engineering Exploration (GEE) is a full day event that allows girls in 4th-8th grade an opportunity to meet female engineers and be exposed to exciting career paths through interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities. The girls will be able to experience the creativity, innovation, and fun that goes on in the field of engineering. The event is FREE for registered students, parents, and teachers! This year’s GEE is back IN PERSON and outdoors on Saturday, June 3rd at Wayne State University. The GEE committee chairs (Courtney Jones, Sam Poeppelman, and Sheila DeLapp) can be reached at SWEDetroitGEE@gmail.com with any questions. Calling all 4th-8th grade girls! Are you interested in science, technology, engineering, and math? Drop by this open house event for hands-on activities, to learn how engineers use math/science in their everyday careers, and to talk to female engineers! RSVP at the link below.
