WE Local is looking for speakers on topics ranging from career management and strategic leadership to technical innovations and self-management and development. Speaker selection for the 2023 WE Local conferences is highly competitive. To improve your chances of being selected, closely follow the guidelines and complete the WE Local Call for Participation (CFP) overview course.

Who: 6th-12th grade students (all genders welcome)

When: August 20th, 2022 at 9am

Where: Streamed online on Twitch

Short description: Four speakers in various STEAM fields will be featured and there will be a networking lunch (food provided) with college students to give students the opportunity to make connections. 

Purpose: Inspire and empower students to make meaningful connections that will help them grow as leaders and STEAM professionals. We hope to provide attendees with the skills, resources, and confidence they need to pursue STEAM careers, fulfill their passions, and make a difference.

WE Local Conference is coming to Detroit in February 2023!  We need local SWE Detroit members' help to make this event a success! 

Detroit will be the host city for the SWE WE Local Detroit conference on February 17th & 18 in 2023.  The event will take place in downtown Detroit at the Huntington Center with housing at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance. Planning for the event will begin soon and we are looking for SWE members in the area that are interested in being involved on the committee.
